"Japanese researchers recently found that among 25,000 office workers surveyed over three years, people who spent the most time in front of a computer screen suffered most from such symptoms as back pain, anxiety and insomnia. People with the worst symptoms spent five or more hours a day computer-bound."
Sometimes, avoiding using the computer is impossible, but maybe we can use it in a better way. Taking a break once in a while can help you a lot, it increases productivity, betters your mood, keeps you from scoliosis and other "sitting-related" diseases. You just have to remember taking a break once in a while, and this is what Breaker is for.
Breaker is equipped with two timers, one for your work time, the other for your break time. Once your work time is over, Breaker announces you and starts the break timer. Also, once the break is over it tells you to go back to work.
This is Breaker's main window:
Breaker 2.0 can be customized to loop a certain number of times, and even to chenge the timers based on a pattern.
The timer has now moved close to the system tray ready to appear every time you hover over Breaker's icon.
Also, you can always request new features or report a bug using the built-in feedback option.
Breaker 3 is available in multiple languages (Brazilian Portuguese, French and Romanian), it can start with Windows, you can leave the pop-up open and set it's opacity and set your custom alarm sound.
